Eberconazole is chemically described as 1-(2,4-Dichloro-10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[a,d][7]annulen-5-yl)-1H-imidazole.
It's molecular formula and molecular weight is C18H14Cl2N2 & 329.22 g/mol respectively. Eberconazole is approved by Spain in 2015. It is also approved by Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. It is sold under the brand name Ebernet.
Eberconazole is an antifungal medication that is used topically to treat certain fungal infections of the skin.This antifungal agent is commonly used to treat dermatophyte infections, such as ringworm (tinea corporis), athlete's foot (tinea pedis), and jock itch (tinea cruris). It may also be prescribed for the treatment of candidiasis, a yeast infection.
It may be applied for mycoses, which are fungal infections that affect the outermost layers of skin, hair, or nails.

Eberconazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a crucial component of the fungal cell membrane, which leads to disruption of the membrane structure and ultimately results in the death of the fungus.
